Seniors Staying Active During Social Distancing

The elderly are quite susceptible to the Coronavirus, therefore many caregivers are choosing to keep them at home rather than in an adult day care, senior center, assisted living, or nursing home. However, once their routine is disrupted, many seniors often become depressed and begin to isolate themselves. Key to fighting this decline is physical activity. YouTube has quite a few workout routines specifically for seniors. But the activity can be something as simple as walking the hallways or stairs or doing household chores. Ask them to help you in kitchen, something as simple as reading the recipe, measuring the ingredients, or washing the dishes (even if you have a dishwasher). Remember that patience is a virtue.
